Paul Smith has just signed on to design all formal wear for the Manchester United Football Club for the next three years. The British designer is mirroring a deal between Giorgio Armani and Champions League rival, Chelsea. Oooh this rivalry has obviously taken to a more fashionable pitch, and we'll soon see which team will maintain the best-dressed stable of footballers. UK-LA is leaning more toward Sir Paul Smith as the victor, for the simple reason that we are biased toward our hometown gentleman.
